Syracuse Community Biking
|
This site is a common forum for all things bike related in Syracuse. Hopefully it will help various organizations work together to further their goals, whether they are to promote commuting on bikes, to help inner city youth, or to give people a place to work on and to learn to work on bikes. Currently this group has members who: hold bike repair clinics to teach kids to fix their bikes with the goal of teaching problem solving skills (Bikes4Peace); hold weekly biking outings to teach personal responsibility, achievement and confidence (b.i.k.e.Syracuse, http://www.bikesy... ); promote the use of bikes for commuting by making affordable bikes available to college students; advocate for bike lanes, bike routes, and shared roadways (BikeCNY, http://www.bikecn... ); are working to form a community bike workshop. If you have a bike related group in Syracuse, and would like your group and its objectives listed here, please email me.
